Overcast Cad West 17/08/09

As the title suggests it was a rather miserable day up on Cad but at least it stayed dry, not ideal for photography so I've had a bit of a hard time choosing these shots, nevertheless plenty of movements all the same!

PS. seems the firmware update for the 50D has cured the magenta cast problem!

Nice shots Tim...like the T2 especially! Didn't know the 50d had a prob with magenta casting.

Hi Gav, yes someone commented on another forum that the pics looked a bit "red" and then it was suggested I check the firmware as it was a known problem, sure enough I'd got the older version installed in the camera so updated it and seems to have done the trick.

Hi Mark, just check which firmware's already installed within the camera, I suspect it's version 1.0.6, if that's the case look for the download on Canons website for 1.0.7, seems that the magenta cast is the only issue apart from some language updates. Can't say I've ever updated the firmware before on any of my cameras but I suppose if it's a recognised fault it can only be for the better to update, like you say I got a little paranoid when it was first pointed out, so I've got no excuses now!
